When I first picked up a pair of lash tweezers, I was terrified. The idea of working so close to someone’s eyes with these tiny, sharp tools? Daunting doesn’t even begin to cover it. It took me three whole days just to feel comfortable holding them properly. And even then, my first ever lash set took me four hours—and when the client got up, it looked like she didn’t even have extensions on. I remember that sinking feeling in my stomach so clearly. I was discouraged, but deep down, I knew I had to push through.

My journey wasn’t just about learning a new skill. I bought the business, left my job, uprooted my family, and relocated to Centurion—all to follow my dream of working with people and standing in my purpose. I just knew—I had to make it happen.

From the very beginning, starting my own lash line was a dream I kept close to my heart. As I worked with products daily, I realized how vital the right tools are—like precision tweezers, or even knowing the exact length of a lash strip (especially when you’ve accidentally mixed it up while rushing between clients!). All these little moments started shaping the vision I had for my brand. I knew what I wanted to create, and what needed to change.
Believe it or not, I started reaching out to lash manufacturers as early as 2019. It took time, faith, and resilience, but I’m so grateful that someone believed in my idea. Today, I’m living what once felt like a distant dream—The Lash Line (Pty) Ltd is finally here. I’m still in the process of perfecting all the small details, but it’s happening.
